“On the thirteenth night, in the month of the Griffon, year twenty five of our Lord Karl Franz, Gurdan, Warrior Priest of Sigmar did recite ancient prayers of Righteousness and Protection before his hammer struck the ancient obelisk that was unearthed within the Village of Maarland by wicked cultists to summon forth the Great Daemon Kharnigar. With one big blow, the Priest did destroy the ancient obelisk and the troops of Talabecland roused to applaud their new leader, cheering and shouting as they held their weapons high.
The headless body of Marshall Guderian, Grand Templar of the Blood Knights of Sigmar was put to rest. Beside him, lay the body of Kapten Gaardel of the Reiksguard. As the funeral pyres were lit for all the bodies of men, the Blood Knights saluted the passing of their Grand Templar, and in their grief, they swore a new 100 year crusade against the forces of Khorne, in rememberance of their Grand Master.
From that fire, the soldiers of our Great Lord Emporer and Sigmar, did use to light torches that were then used to cleanse the village of Maarland from its taint of Chaos. As the village burned and smoke rose into the twilight sky, Gurdan knelt in prayer and so did all the troops of Talabec that were now under his charge. Sigmar protect us.”
From the depths of Hell
And folly of man
It was summoned
Kharnigar, Big red
Slayer of Kings
Curse of War
In rage it bellowed
Lesser men cowered
None bar one dared step
Into His maw
Guderian, Grand Templar
Blood Knight of Sigmar
Kharnigar, Curse of War
Fangs A’Drip
Axe and Sword of Khorne
Swifter than shadows
None bar one dared step
Man of men
May his immortal soul forever be in the Hall of Heroes
- From the 450th Lamentation of the Blood Knights
